New Build Insulation Across South East Queensland
We work with builders and owner-builders across South East QLD to supply and install insulation on schedule, to spec, and to NCC energy efficiency requirements.
Insulation for New Builds Done Right
New residential construction in Queensland must meet the energy efficiency requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC). Insulation is a critical component of achieving the required energy rating, and getting the specification right from the start is far easier - and cheaper - than rectifying it later.
We work directly with builders, project managers, and owner-builders across South East Queensland. We understand construction programmes and the importance of turning up at the right time, completing the work efficiently, and not holding up downstream trades. Whether you have one home or a development of several, we provide a reliable, professional insulation installation service that keeps your build on track.
What's Involved
Plans & Specification Review
We review the building plans and energy rating report to identify the required R-values for ceiling, wall, and floor insulation - ensuring our quote is aligned with the specification from the outset.
Programme Coordination
We liaise with your builder or site supervisor to schedule our installation at the right stage - after rough-in trades and before lining. We build our schedule around your construction programme, not the other way around.
Supply & Installation
We supply and install all specified products - ceiling batts, wall batts, and any acoustic insulation required. Installation is carried out to full coverage with correct R-values throughout.
Documentation & Sign-Off
We provide confirmation of the products installed, R-values, and coverage for your certifier or council file. This documentation supports your energy compliance sign-off and handover package.
3 Key Benefits
NCC Compliant from Day One
We install to the R-values specified in your energy rating report, giving you confidence that your build meets Queensland's NCC energy efficiency requirements and supporting smooth certifier sign-off.
Reliable Programme Fit
We understand construction schedules and the cost of delays. We show up when agreed, complete the work in one visit, and don't hold up your plasterer or other downstream trades.
Better Home Performance
A correctly insulated new build starts performing well immediately. Your clients move in to a home that's comfortable and energy-efficient - which reflects well on the build quality you deliver.
Common Questions
What insulation R-value is required for new builds in Queensland?
Minimum R-value requirements for new builds in Queensland are set by the NCC and vary by climate zone and construction type. For most of South East Queensland (climate zone 2), a minimum R3.5 is typically required for ceilings. Wall and floor requirements depend on the construction system. Your energy assessor's report will specify the exact requirements for your project, and we install to that specification.
Do you work with volume builders as well as individual homeowners?
Yes. We work with individual homeowners building their first home, small-to-medium builders across South East Queensland, and owner-builders managing their own project. If you're building multiple dwellings or have an ongoing programme of work, get in touch to discuss how we can support your construction schedule.
What documentation do you provide for certifier or council submissions?
On completion we provide written confirmation of the products installed, their R-values, and the areas covered. This documentation is suitable for inclusion in your certifier's compliance file. If your certifier or council requires a specific format or additional information, let us know in advance and we'll accommodate that.
